This song was inspired by a documented medical case (A difficult case: Diagnosis made by hallucinatory voices, Ikechukwu Obialo Azuonye, BMJ Clinical Research, December 1997) of a patient who heard voices in her head correctly diagnosing her brain tumour; a diagnosis she would later have confirmed by medical professionals who were then able to treat her successfully in time to save her life.
